Installation¶
Prerequisites¶

Deployment¶
The Wet Cooling Tower unit operation is distributed as a single DLL file:
Step-by-Step Installation¶

Close DWSIM if it is running.

Copy the DLL to the DWSIM unit operations folder:
Important: Deploy to
unitops\onlyThe DLL must be placed in the
unitops\subfolder, not in the DWSIM root folder. Placing it in the root folder will cause loading errors. -
Restart DWSIM.

The Cooling Tower will appear in the Exchangers category of the Object Palette.
Verification¶
After restarting DWSIM:
- Open a new or existing flowsheet.
- In the Object Palette, navigate to Exchangers.
- You should see "Cooling Tower" with a custom icon.
- Drag it onto the flowsheet to create a new instance (default tag:
CT-1).
Installation Complete
If you see the Cooling Tower in the Exchangers category, the installation was successful. Connect a water inlet stream and configure the parameters to begin simulating.
Troubleshooting¶
